What is Gaelic (Irish) Football and where can I play it?

Gaelic Football is the most popular sport in Ireland and one of the fastest growing sports in Europe! There are teams and players all over the world and it is not just for Irish people. The Prague Hibernians Gaelic Football team has players from Ireland (including Luke Ryan!), the Czech Republic, America (including Eric Davis!), the UK, Australia, France, Romania, South Africa, Norway, Spain and Slovakia. It is a great way to get some exercise and learn some fantastic sporting skills and of course meet new people.

On October 6 from 11.00, the Prague Hibernians is having a GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) Day at Slavia Rugby and we are launching our weekly Kid’s Training which will take place every Saturday morning. We will also have a demonstration Men’s and Women’s games in the afternoon and there will be food and refreshments available too.

So if you are free, come and check out a great day of sport, kids can take part in the first training session from 11am and then watch Eric and Luke run around like crazy from 12.30! You can ask Luke or Eric for more details.
